MILAN FASHION WEEK WITH FURLA

FURLA AND GAM CELEBRATED THE OPENING OF “KELLY AKASHI. CONVERGING FIGURES” EXHIBITION WITH AN EXCLUSIVE DINNER CO-HOSTED BY PURPLE

Milan, September 20th, 2024 – Yesterday, Furla and GAM - Galleria d'Arte Moderna di Milano celebrated the opening of Converging Figures, a solo exhibition by Kelly Akashi, curated by Bruna Roccasalva with an exclusive dinner co-hosted by Purple magazine and Olivier Zahm.

Akashi’s project for the Furla Series program, the first dedicated exhibition in an Italian institution, revolves around the concept and phenomenon of “reflection,” explored through a visionary path that winds its way right through the permanent collection, creating a dialogue and synergy with the museum’s architecture and masterpieces.

For the occasion, Olivier Zahm and Furla welcomed key personalities from the international art and the fashion scene for a guided view, led by the curator Bruna Roccasalva, and followed by an intimate dinner in the impressive setting of the GAM rooms.

Guests in attendance included the curator Gaia Matisse, the model Maya Stepper, the digital talents Chiara Pieri, Clio Bargellini, Demi Oyenekan, Hodan Yousuf, Maggy, Nagomi, Nikki Min, the basketball player and model Elizabeth Cambage, among others.

For the occasion, some of the attendees wore the Sfera bag from the limited edition Milano Capsule unveiled during the Milan Fashion Week.
